The Bonn Translators and Interpreters Forum (Bonner Übersetzer- und Dolmetscherforum) brings together over seventy freelance and in-house translators and interpreters covering a wide variety of language combinations.

The Forum's activities include:

Our guiding aim is to develop our professional skills and understanding in a spirit of collegiality. We are also increasingly involved in promoting our profession to the outside world.

The Forum centres around our regular meetings, which are open to all translators and interpreters. In fact, these meetings have become quite an institution: we recently celebrated our tenth anniversary, making our Forum one of the most successful of its kind in Germany.

Forum meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month (second Wednesday if the first is a national holiday) on the top floor of China Restaurant Man Wah, Am Markt 5, Bonn — near the old town hall on the market square. The 'Markt' underground garage is handy for parking.

Feel free to contact any member of the Forum if you need help finding a translator or interpreter for an assignment or have any questions, whether job-related or to do with the Forum itself. If you would like to join in, simply come along to one of our meetings. The Bonner Übersetzer- und DolmetscherForum is not a registered association or society, but an informal grouping that lives from the interest and commitment of all who take part.
